Do You Need a Permit for a Bin in Mississauga or Toronto?
On private property (your driveway or job site): No permit required. Just let us know where you want the bin placed and we'll handle the rest.
On a public street or city right-of-way: A permit from your municipality is required. In Toronto, this is a Boulevard Café / Patio / Bin permit through the city. In Mississauga, a Road Occupancy Permit is required. WastePro recommends confirming with your local municipality before placing a bin on a public road.

Why isn't the 5-yard bin available for metal? Metal bins require a tarp cover for safe transport, and the 5-yard bin's low sides make it difficult to safely contain and cover metal loads - particularly structural steel, pipes, and irregular scrap pieces. The 14-yard and up are the right fit for metal disposal.
Is there per-tonne pricing for metal? No - metal disposal is flat rate only at $350, regardless of bin size. The scrap refund is applied separately based on the actual weight confirmed at the scrap yard.
How long can I keep the bin? The standard rental period is up to one week. If you need more time, call us at 647-477-0537 at least 48 hours before your scheduled pickup and we'll arrange an extension. Extended rental fees may apply.
