A 14-cubic yard bin is a mid-size open-top hook-lift waste container used for medium-to-large residential renovation projects and contractor jobs. Measuring 12 ft long × 7 ft wide × 4.5 ft tall, it is deployed on residential driveways, active construction sites, and job sites across Mississauga, Toronto, and the West GTA wherever a compact but high-capacity waste solution is required. It is most commonly used during full kitchen and bathroom renovations, basement refinishing, roof tear-offs, estate cleanouts, and demolition projects - typically when a project generates more than 3 pickup truck loads of debris but does not require a larger 20 or 30-yard container. The 14-yard bin accommodates approximately 48-72 bundles of roofing shingles, 2,160-3,000 sq ft of drywall, or 3,375-4,700 sq ft of carpeting in a single load. Pricing starts at $390 flat rate for mixed waste, or $220 base plus $130 per ton for mixed or solid waste billed by actual weight.

How Big Is a 14-Cubic Yard Bin?

The 14-cubic yard bin measures 12 ft long × 7 ft wide × 4.5 ft tall - approximately chest-height on an average adult and roughly the length of a minivan - sized to fit where you need it without taking over your property.

What Fits Inside a 14-Cubic Yard Bin?

This bin handles a wide range of materials across both mixed and solid waste categories. Here's a breakdown of real-world capacity by debris type:

14-Cubic Yard Bin Rental Pricing

Option 1 - Solid Heavy Waste Flat Rate: $500

Best for: Dedicated loads of heavy solid material - concrete, brick, asphalt, dirt, gravel.

Solid heavy waste is not weighed at the dump. Your flat rate of $390 covers delivery, pickup, up to one week rental, and disposal - that's it. No weighing, no overage calculation, no surprises.

Option 2 - Mixed Waste Flat Rate: $390

Best for: Homeowners and contractors with a mixed renovation or cleanout load under 1.5 tonnes.

Your flat rate of $390 covers delivery, pickup, up to one week rental, and disposal for loads up to 1.5 tonnes. Mixed waste is weighed at the dump after pickup — if your load comes in under 1.5 tonnes, you pay nothing more. If your load exceeds 1.5 tonnes, we'll let you know the overage in tonnes after weighing and the additional per-tonne charge will apply only to that extra weight.

Not sure if your load will hit the threshold? Call us at 647-477-0537 before booking - we'll help you figure out the most cost-effective option for your project.

Option 3 - Mixed or Solid Waste Per Ton: $220 base + $130/ton

Best for: Any load where you'd rather pay based on actual weight than a flat rate.

Final weight is confirmed at the dump station after pickup - you pay for exactly what you put in the bin.

No surprises on your invoice. Flat rate solid loads aren't weighed - your price is locked from the moment you book. Flat rate mixed loads are weighed after pickup - if there's an overage, you'll hear from us with the exact amount before anything is charged. Per-tonne loads are billed on confirmed weight only. No fuel surcharges within our service areas, no mystery fees.

Frequently Asked Questions - 14-Cubic Yard Bin Rentals

How long can I keep the bin? The standard rental period is up to one week for flat rate orders. If you need more time, call us at 647-477-0537 at least 48 hours before your pickup date and we'll arrange an extension. Extended rental fees may apply.

What happens if my mixed waste load exceeds 1.5 tonnes? Mixed waste is weighed at the dump after pickup. If your load comes in under 1.5 tonnes, your flat rate covers everything. If it goes over, we'll contact you with the exact overage in tonnes — the additional per-tonne charge applies only to that extra weight, nothing more. If you think your load might be close to the threshold, call us at 647-477-0537 before booking and we'll help you figure out the most cost-effective option.

Can I put concrete or brick in the mixed waste flat rate bin? No - heavy solid materials like concrete, brick, asphalt, and soil need to be booked as a dedicated solid waste order. The good news is the solid heavy waste flat rate is also $390 and isn't weighed at the dump, so your price is locked from the start.

Does the bin fit in my driveway? The 14-yard bin is exactly 12 ft long by 7 ft wide and 4.5 ft tall - it fits comfortably on a standard single-car driveway with room to spare. If you have a tight or unusual driveway, call us and we'll talk you through placement options. Our trucks are built to access tight spaces that other bin companies can't, so don't rule it out before you ask.

What areas do you serve? WastePro delivers 14-yard bins across Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, and West Toronto. Our yard is in Etobicoke, which means fast turnaround times across the entire West GTA service area.

How do I book? Call us at 647-477-0537, email admin@wastepro.ca, or order directly online at wastepro.ca. We'll confirm your delivery date, placement, and pricing before anything is confirmed.

What if I need the bin swapped out mid-project? No problem - call us and we'll arrange a bin swap. Contractors with active multi-phase jobs can also ask about our Preferred Partner Program for priority scheduling and dedicated support.
